Garrett Scales
GARRETT SCALES, a self-taught artist, has spent the past eight years pursuing hand stenciled images on a variety of surfaces, including paper, wood, and textiles. A Raleigh resident, Garrett’s work has been showcased throughout NC including at Artspace, the City of Raleigh Arts Commission’s Block Gallery, the Visual Art Exchange, and the Green Hill Center for NC Art in Greensboro, NC. He has taught in the Artspace Youth Summer Arts Program for three years, completed the Artspace Outreach Teacher Training Program from 2008-2010, and was awarded the Artspace Regional Emerging Artist Residency from July 2010 to January 2011.
